The Effect of New and Traditional Sources of Financing on the Performance of Small and Entrepreneurship Businesses: The Case of Qatar

Purpose: This paper investigates how entrepreneurial finance in Qatar affects the performance of small and entrepreneurship businesses (SEB). It is first study examining financial decisions SEB Qatar, illustrating advantages disadvantages traditional innovative sources finance. In addition, we investigate impact different funding on three dimensions performance: financial, marketing internal business development performance. Methodology: Our sample included 300 owners managers, selected randomly contacted January to March 2020. Following delivery collection process, obtained 161 questionnaires, which were analysed using ordinary least squares regression. Findings: The results suggest that diversity accessing new affect SEBs. Meanwhile, this effect varies among aspects concluded SEBs prefer equity debts. SBEs mainly derived through accessibility funds, governmental support, availability collateral. Implications: contributes literature industry by being examine funds for their findings can help decision-makers consider diverse dimensions, financing made based priorities. Moreover, find a negative support crowdfunding performance; implies less efficient SEBs, terms performance, are more active obtaining both crowdfunding, as they may be not eligible other work highlights key role adapting improving ultimately reflected diversification economy.
